Test and Tag (as it is known in Australia) is the process
of inspecting and testing an appliance or lead, visually and electrically.
It can be done with non-specialiised equipment or, more commonly,
with specific automated testing equipment, designed specifically
for the purpose. This saves time and makes it affordable, rather
than using an electrician at electrician's prices. |
TESTING AND TAGGING
Safe@Work Test & Tag can
provide the following services for portable appliances.
Portable appliances include any electrical item which
is fixed or moveable and has a flexible lead used to
provide power, and extension leads. The frequency of
testing relates to how often that lead is flexed and
may, therefore fail.

Safe@Work Test & Tag can

- Examination to AS/NZS 3760:2010 requirements
- 240v and 415v AC

etc)

REPORTING
You are required to retain records to show your responsibilities
for "Duty of Care" have been fulfilled. Safe@Work
Test & Tag will provide sufficient information
to fulfil these requirements in most cases. For more
detail see Reporting .
REPAIRS
Safe@Work Test & Tag is
authorised to perform some minor repairs on equipment
to keep it in-service. We carry
a stock of plugs and sockets, power boards etc to facilitate
this. It may be cheaper than the downtime
you experience before you can repair or replace the item
yourself. Where you elect to have it repaired yourself,
an item may need to be quarantined or removed from service
until that repair is effected and the item retested.
